Philanthropy / Outreach Program in Pakistan

Founding member and Board of Directors of “Friends of Mayo Hospital”(FOMH):

This NGO has raised more than Rs. 250 Million for Mayo Hospital and has developed its infrastructure. It has also been working for improvement of Patient Care at Mayo Hospital, Pakistan, which is one the oldest and prestigious institute of Asia. FOMH has renovated Medical, Surgical and Oncology wards into state of art facilities. FOMH has also constructed a “Musafar Khaana” (Rest Area) for family members of patients being admitted at Mayo Hospital. This facility is being utilized daily by thousands of people. Upgradation of wards has provided patients comfort of a new facility and doctor’s to work in a patient friendly environment.

Board of Director of DHF (Dilawar Hussain Foundation):

Foundation is dedicated for improvement of Diabetes care in Pakistan. Two Charity Diabetes Clinics in Lahore and one will open soon in Kasur. Further, laboratory provides free tests to the deserving people. The Facilities are in process of upgradation and plans to provide state of art consultation facilities and online services.

Campaign for Public Awareness:

Has organized and participated in campaign for awareness. This also Include “Run For Healthy Life” which took place in SAFES (South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies) countries including Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Patient Welfare Society:

Served as President of Patient Welfare Society at Allama Iqbal Medical Society which is responsible of providing free Medication including Tuberculosis treatment and blood bank for needy patients.

Capacity Building of Physicians in Pakistan

Scientific Chair / Course Director:

More than 50 Courses across Pakistan for Capacity Building of Physicians and improving Diabetes Care in Pakistan over years.

More than 500 Presentation’s given to local and International Audiences.

Course Director for Advocacy of Vocational, Interactive, Continuing Education for Diabetes & Endocrine (ADVICE):

Capacity Building session in collaboration with ADVICE for general physicians to improve Diabetes care across Pakistan.

Course Director for International Diabetes Excellence Academy Conference (IDEA) (2013 – Onwards):

Diabetes Capacity Building session in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar for general physicians to improve Diabetes care across Pakistan.

Course Director:

Intensive Diabetes Course (IDC), These courses are for capacity building of General Physicians from underserved areas of Pakistan. Program was designed and organized with the collaboration of regional and International Organizations including South African Endocrine Society on (April 28, 2016 in Johannesburg, South Africa), Harvard University (October 2017), Weil Cornell University.
